TRAINEE INFORMATION
NZEET will ensure equal access and continued support for all trainees. Equal access will be achieved by identifying the diverse needs of all trainees who wish to enrol in a NZEET programme in a respectful and supportive manner. Continued support will be achieved by implementing strategies to provide trainees with ongoing support to enable them to excel (Pukengatanga).
Student Fee Protection
Student Fee Protection
As a registered PTE with NZQA, NZEET meets NZQA Student Fee Protection Rules 2022 by using the services of the Public Trust to protect required fees from unforeseen closure or discontinuation of the course or delivery of unit standards. Any fees paid to NZEET which meet the criteria for Student Fee Protection will be deposited into an account with Public Trust.
Code of Practice
NZ Equine Education Trust is a signatory to the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021 which sets out the minimum standards of advice and care that international students can expect. The Code also provides a procedure for students to follow if there are any concerns about the treatment received from NZ Equine Education Trust.

International Students
Current provision of education and training to International Students
NZ Equine Education Trust currently only provides education and training to overseas students who have already gained and entered New Zealand on a ‘work visa’ and are working in the NZ Racing or Breeding industry who are required to undertake training as part of their current NZ job. These ‘international students’ have independently acquired ‘work visas’ prior to enrolling with NZ Equine Education Trust.
